I was once discussing Alice in Wonderland with my friend Gemma, from Vintage Gems China and Prop Hire, I told her how much I love the novels, the Disney adaptation, atmosphere, everything about it. She felt exactly the same and was actually already planning a styled shoot. Of course when she asked me if I wanted to get involved I said yes before she had finished the question.
We both then gathered together our friends in business. Kristy was the model for Dark Alice and the Bridal Alice was the photographer’s beautiful daughter, Rhianna. The Mad Hatter was Gemma’s other half and The Queen of Hearts was Anita, who is a brilliant celebrant. Other contributors were Valerie from Sovereign Cakes, Julie from Crystal Amor, Alison from AlisonWonderland Photography, Donna from French’s Fancy Dress, Amy the calligrapher from Amyverse, Abbey Catering and Furniture Hire, Anne-Marie who makes bespoke embroidered veils and of course Clare who is running The Milwards Estate, a beautiful countryside wedding venue.
I had a vision about creating a Dark Alice, who has a childish appearance but also something dark and quirky. We left The Hatter the same character as appears in the movies and for The Queen of Hearts we created a completely different character. We loved every minute and are all incredibly happy and proud of the outcome.

Celebrant Fiona Flanagan, Independent Humanist Ceremonies
Nicola & Mitch said “I Dhu” to the enchanting wedding of their dreams. We decided to get married at the beautiful Ghillie Dhu with it being in the centre of Edinburgh, a place close to our hearts with us both having Scottish family ties. The Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh, with its gothic architecture, provided the perfect romantic backdrop for our November winter wedding.
It had rained quite heavily on the morning of our wedding day, but then came away with some moody clouds with some gorgeous light dispersed by the time of our ceremony. I walked down the candle-lit aisle to an instrumental version of Kate Bush’s ‘Cloudbusting’, which served as the perfect soundtrack capturing the magical mood of the day.
We had a Humanist ceremony which felt very personal to us. Whilst our guests enjoyed drinks and canapes, Mitch and I ran across the street to the Johnnie Walker Experience to take some photos from their rooftop, which has stunning views of Edinburgh Castle. We then enjoyed speeches and a delicious 3-course meal back at Ghillie Dhu before hitting the dancefloor for a rather chaotic cèilidh with live music by The Jacobites!

Pink and green maybe a controversial colour match, but for our brides this is the stand out colour palette of 2024.
A refined take on the classic pastel palette, balance soft shades of pink against fresh pops of green across a range of fabrics and silhouettes. Creating texture and variation, while remaining complementary and delicate. With the added touch of glittering beading, the sparkle elevates this delicate palette, keeping a soft romantic look with added glamour.

The Bonnie banks have always been a dream location for a beautiful wedding. But for elopement or even just being away from your local area... How do you know what suppliers to trust?Social media can be misguiding at times, with fantastic images... but no real knowledge of who is behind the face of a business. So these images are a representation of a team pulled together by traditional word of mouth & life long friendships.

Since lockdown lifted, most wedding suppliers have been swamped. Foot to the floor, giving 100% to every client and playing catch-up with the wedding backlog created in 2020/2021. It has been welcome relief and a joy to get back to whatall wedding suppliers do best.
However, it means there hasn’t been much chance to improve, learn and boost skill sets. Every single wedding professional at the top oftheir games always looks to push themselves, to try new techniques, experiment and of course, have fun! All local to the area, photographer Stuart from 1500 Photography, KJ from The Wedding Planner Bridal, make up artist Debbie and Lorna from Get it Glam pulled their creative talents together (along with models Jennifer and Stephanie) for a styled shoot on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond.
What started off as an idea to showcase their talents becamea rich and inspiring shoot with the wonderful Cameron House providing a stunning backdrop for the photographs.Inspired by the landscape, the venue, two very beautiful ‘brides’ and the opportunity for them allto stretch their ‘creative muscles’.
What started off as a chance to work together as industry friends, back at one of Scotlands top venues, soon became a celebration of all things wedding. From the details on the dresses tothe décor of Cameron House, fromthe lightest touches of natural make up to the blackest of dresses!Celebrating some of the amazing gowns KJ had sourced from Ronald Joyce, watching in awe as Lorna (hair) and Debbie (make up) created two incredible and very different looks on the models. With the chance to experiment with different styles and techniques thatmay not get used during a real wedding. This fantastic team finished the day completely energised and inspired. We hope these pictures will inspire you too.
